Too much time on your hands? Tear out your kitchen, get rid of that ugly brown tub, or create the office of your dreams! My name is Lisa Ward and I work as an interior designer for Quality Contractors. We have been doing remodels and home renovations for years.
I have had a love for anyhthing old, houses, lamps, tables, chairs, pretty much anything that nobody loves anymore. I have always had a knack for taking something that is headed for the thrift store or is already there and turning it into a "one of a kind find". I first started doing this when I was just a newly wed with not much money. For some reason that I can't figure out nobody gives you lamps for your wedding. My husband and I moved into our first apartment with a bedframe with no bed and a borrowed fishtank stand that we used to hold our TV and not one lamp and apparently in the 1970's someone had the idea that having an overhead light in the living room was a bad idea. Maybe it was, but for us it was just DARK. As young newly wed with not much money I set off to DI, our local thrift store and found tons of lamps that were cheap but so ugly and out dated it wasn't hard to see why they ended up where they were.
